At the Guelph Engineering Leadership (GEL) Program, we believe leadership is more than a title, it’s a mindset. We create spaces where engineering students grow through reflection, collaboration, and action. We empower, inspire, and equip future engineers to lead with integrity, purpose, and impact, on campus and beyond.
The GEL Program will enable participants to:
- Cultivate leadership abilities that extend beyond team-based technical projects.
- Foster a commitment to lifelong learning, essential for both personal and professional growth.
- Enhance and sharpen key engineering leadership skills.
- Connect with peers and leaders in the engineering community committed to advancing their professional mindset and technical expertise.
- Gain recognition with a Certificate of Accomplishment to enhance their professional portfolio.
Workshops
The program features a dynamic mix of lectures, workshops, and special events that explore various engineering leadership topics. These workshops are offered through Fall and Winter semesters and are open to all undergraduate and graduate students.
Certificate Opportunity
Students who attend at least 4 out of 8 sessions will receive a Leadership Certificate from the College of Engineering in recognition of their participation. To qualify, students must complete the Feedback Form for each session they attend.
